Pain Tolerance and Sensitivity
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but the consensus among patients is that Botox® injections are very tolerable. Some people feel almost nothing, while others notice a mild sting. What to Expect During a Botox® Treatment
1. Consultation: Your journey starts with a consultation at GhalMedica with our medical director, Dr Sonya Ghalehii. Dr Sonya and the team will discuss your aesthetic goals, address any concerns, and answer all your questions.
2. Prepping the Area: We clean the area and may apply a topical numbing cream or use an ice pack if you prefer.
3. The Injection: The actual injection takes only a few seconds per spot. You might
feel a small pinch, and that’s it!
4. Aftercare: You’re ready to get on with your day! Minimal downtime is required, although we suggest keeping your head up for four hours and avoiding strenuous activity for 24 hours.
Does It Hurt After?
Botox® itself doesn’t hurt afterward, and side effects are typically mild. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but these effects usually fade within a few days. More rare side effects can include drooping of the eyebrow or lid.

Nope! Neuromodulator injections typically hurt less than a flu shot. The needles are much smaller, and the sensation is often described as a small pinch.
How long does it last?
The results usually last about 3 to 4 months. The maximum effect of the treatment usually occurs after 14days of injection then gradually decreases over 3 to 4months, while your muscles regain more and more movement the wrinkles will start to reappear slowly. For ongoing results, you should reschedule your treatments within 3 to 4 months.
When will I see results?
You’ll start noticing smoother skin within 3 to 5 days, with full results visible in about 14days.
