Mild side effects may include redness, swelling, or minor discomfort at the treatment site. These effects are typically temporary and subside within a few days. As with all energy based devices, there is a small risk of injuring and burning of the skin. However, this risk is minimized with Morpheus8 as the needles are coated in a silicone polymer. Certain patients who are at risk of PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) might be given a skin preparation treatment for 6 weeks prior to the treatment. Patients who suffer from acne may notice breakouts post procedure after the treatment. You will have to follow the aftercare guidelines recommended by Dr. Sonya.
